John
attended The State University of NY College at Cortland where he received
a degree in Health and Physical Education, and The University of Pennsylvania
where he received a certificate of Proficiency in Physical Therapy.
He has been practicing physical therapy since 1970 and opened his Albany
office in 1980.
Since
this time, John has personally treated thousands of patients in the
Capital District, including the members of The Choppers, The Patroons,
The Firebirds, hundreds of collegiate athletes, and Olympic athletes.
He is a published author, having submitted two chapters to the first
edition of the A.M.A.
award-winning book Athletic Training, and has conducted numerous
seminars for doctors and physical therapists across the country and
in Spain.
John
is also a member of the American
College of Sports Medicine, a member of the American
Physical Therapy Association, and a certified member of the National
Athletic Trainers Association.
Matthew
E. Alheim, PT
Licensed Physical Therapist
Matt
attended Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT where he received a degree
in physical therapy in 1995. Matt's areas of expertise include the treatment
of orthopedic and sports-related injuries and the analysis and biomechanical
evaluation of the golf swing. He assigns corrective exercises to reduce
pain and stiffness and improve one's swing. Matt has completed the 4-part
series of the McKenzie Method, a world renowned approach to the treatment
of spinal pain and dysfunction, and has been with Repsher & Associates
Physical Therapy.
Heather
M. Briscoe, MPT
Licensed Physical Therapist
Heather
graduated from Northeastern University in 2006 with her Master of Science
in Physical Therapy. She is a certified strength conditioning specialist
through the NSCA. Heather's goal is to help return patients to the activities
they enjoy. She enjoys working with athletes as well as the "weekend
warrior." Heather is interested the McKenzie approach for treating
neck and back pain. She is currently working on becoming a certified
McKenzie therapist.
Caitlyn
Casey, PT
Licensed Physical Therapist
Caitlyn
graduated from Utica College of Syracuse University in 2006 with her
Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy. Caitlyn is certified
in myofascial release and craniosacral therapy for the treatment of
pain and restoration of function. She enjoys working with a variety
of challenging cases where she can assist her patients in achieving
their goals.
Meredith
T. Ehn, DPT
Licensed Physical Therapist
Meredith
attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her clinical
doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2003. Meredith's areas of interest
include orthopaedics and sports-related injuries. She is a certified
professional ski instructor and enjoys working with fellow skiers. Meredith
is also interested MD biomechanics and rehabilitation of injuries of
runners and cyclists.
Corey
Kruse, PT
Licensed Physical Therapist
Corey
received his Master's of Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University
in Hamden, Connecticut in 2005. His areas of interest include the treatment
of orthopedic conditions and athletic injuries. He is also a Certified
Golf Performance© Specialist with expertise in the evaluation and
enhancement of the golf swing.
Aaron
Stewart, ORT/L
Licensed Occupational Therapist
Aaron
received his MS in Occupational Therapy from Ithaca College in Ithaca,
NY in 2005. Aaron is in charge of Occupational Therapy in our office.
He has special interest in the Saebo technique which helps patients
restore function to their involved hand following a stroke. Aaron is
certified in the use of the Saebo device.
Lynn
Casey, BS
Practice Administrator
Lynn
received her B.S. in Sociology from The State University of NY College
at Brockport in 1979. She has worked with John W. Repsher at Repsher
& Associates Physical Therapy since 1983. Lynn is an expert in third-party
reimbursement and has developed office procedures that enable patients
to receive professional services and obtain maximum payment from their
insurance companies. She is an integral part of the practice and essential
to keeping operations running smoothly.
Orvis,
PWD
Therapy Dog
Orvis
is a Portuguese Water Dog who has been with the Repsher family since
1997. His duties at Repsher & Associates Physical Therapy include
being empathic and making patients smile. Orvis is especially fond of
children and helps keep them entertained while parents are receiving
physical therapy. He is a non-shedding, hypo-allergenic dog, and although
he is very friendly he is happy to remain on his bed for those patients
who do not wish to be near dogs.
